Loan Wines has two distinctions: it is on historic ground, the farm was planted in the Barossa Valley back in the nineteenth century, and it is a certified organic vineyard. The vines, planted in the 1990s, are not irrigated and yields are low, 3 tons an acre or less. Chris Ringland is the consulting winemaker to owners Richard and Jessie Loan.
